sky866

by normal13is @ 2008-08-30 - 22:55:26

Sky866 is the bestest channel on sky right now with live roulette games on air every day of every week for every hour, yes that means you can play 365 24/7. The channel has changed a few times over the last few years and this is the latest update.

The roulette show has 3 main parts to it, on all sky866 at different parts of the day. The main show with the turbo hour is on at the UK times of 6pm until 4 in the morning and when the main bit isnt on you can still play with the automatic wheel they have, the auto wheel is air powered and fully legal according to casino regulations.

Live Roulette UK

by normal13is @ 2008-05-30 - 15:36:43

Here in the UK there are several game shows hosted on the TV late at night, most of them are of the quiz kind where people phone up and try to answer the questions given. These are boring though and no one seems to win and they never give away the answers so you can sit and watch it for hours and be none the wiser. Live roulette UK is much more interesting to watch, you can even play at home with your friends by making a guess where you think the ball will eventually land.

The program has some entertaining presenters on who can talk for england, sometimes they are interesting and other times boring but the good part is they swap frequently and you only have to wait 3 mins for the wheel to spin.

French Bets at the roulette table

French Bets at the roulette table:
by Andy Fullard

One of the attractive features about the roulette table in casinos is the many different types of bet that you can make to keep the game varied and interesting. These bets can even vary from country to country, with certain types of bets allowed in the United States casinos and different types in European casinos.

For most, the live roulette wheel can be an intimidating area of the casino. For this reason, many gamblers will stick with the well known types of bets that can be made directly on the table. However, if you want to impress the crowd that you are with on casino night, try calling a couple of French bets out to the dealer. French roulette bets are one of the variations that you can explore in many European casinos, and consist of a number of different types of bets that can add to the fun and excitement of the game. These bets are called out to the dealer rather than placed on the table, and although they are generally not advertised in casinos, your dealer will know how to make them. One of these types of French roulette bets is the voisins du zero.

The term voisins du zero means "neighbors of zero." This is a nine chip bet that is placed as follows: two chips on zero, one chip on 4,7 split, one chip on 12,15 split, one chip on 18,21 split, one chip on 19,22 split, two chips on 25,26,28,29 corner, and one chip on 32,35 split. Your return will vary depending on the number that comes in on a voisins du zero roulette bet. This type of bet has a high chance of winning, at 45.9%. The house has an advantage of 2.703%.

Orphelins is one type of French roulette bet that you can make. The word orphelins means "orphans," and the bet consists of one chip placed on one, with eight orphans placed at four splits along the wheel. One chip is placed on 6,9 split, one on 14,17 split, one on 17,20 split and the last is on 31,34 split. With an orphelin roulette bet, you have a chance of winning exactly 24.7% of your bets. The house has a 2.7% advantage.

Neighbors bets are very useful and a player should know how and when to use them. Here is an overview of two different Neighbors roulette bets. "Neighbors" bets are the numbers to the immediate left and right of a winning number on the roulette wheel. The XX and the Neighbors is a bet where you pick a number on the wheel and it covers the two numbers either side of it on the wheel, this usually requires 5 chips for each number as you are covering 5 pockets. So the next time you find yourself in a European casino, facing off against a roulette wheel, why not try something different and try out a French roulette bet, they may not increase your odds of winning, but they will make you look like a seasoned gambler and your friends are sure to be impressed with your knowledge of the game.

2 versions of live roulette

by normal13is @ 2007-10-25 - 18:03:55
While searching around today as usual i found out there are now two different places where you can play real roulette games from the comfort of your own home, the first live roullette game is a tv show which can be seen on sky. They used to air on FTN but since the channel shut down earlier this month they have swapped over the the Virgin channel. FTN has been replaced with some channel called "dave" which shows classic comedys and car programs. The 2nd version of live roulette is with a Irish casino site called dublin bet, they have a state of the art tv system built in to the casino so you can play many live games other than roulette. They also offer a free trial of most of the games so you can see what its like.

strategies

by normal13is @ 2007-10-19 - 22:05:20

When playing live roulette you might want to try out a strategy. The most well known roulette strategy is known as the martingale system. In the beginning, martingale referred to a set of betting strategies which were made popular in France during the 18th century. The most well known strategy is doubling up the bet after a loss so that the next win will recover everything lost plus a profit of the original stake. Unfortunately a gambler would need infinite wealth.

The strategy had the gambler double his bet after every loss, so that the first win would recover all previous losses plus win a profit equal to the original stake. The roulette system is also flawed due to the betting limit at modern casino tables.

The Myths of Roulette Play

by normal13is @ 2007-09-20 - 12:43:55

The game of roulette has gained popularity almost from the very beginning of its existence. Unlike other popular casino games we know and love today, tracking roulette's exact history is quite easy. The first form of roulette was developed in France somewhere in the 18th century. In 1842, the first "0" was added to the roulette wheel in order to create a house advantage. In the early 19th century, the game was introduced in the United Sates and another zero was added.

Over the years, roulette lovers have created a handful of fascinating myths regarding the game. Here, we have listed the most common ones:

Roulette wheel spins are not random Some gamers believe that the history of past spins has strong impact on the outcome of the next spin. For instance, after a string of 10 red slots hits, on the eleventh time, the roulette ball will definitely fall into a black slot. Unfortunately, such an assumption is completely baseless. Every spin of the roulette wheel is an independent event. This makes trying to predict future spins based on the past ones an irrelevant occupation.

Additionally, some players rely on 'dormant numbers.' The term refers to numbers that have not appeared for a long period of time. Somehow, these players believe that these numbers are to be hit in the nearest future. However, there is no logic behind such thinking.

Math can beat roulette Beating the roulette wheel with a mathematical calculation is also impossible. To be truly successful, such a calculation must rely on past experience. But, since there is no history to rely on (as we have already mentioned in our discussion of the previous roulette myth), these calculations are entirely worthless. Unlike the game of poker where skill is required and experienced players are more likely to win, roulette is a game of pure chance. Thus far, a winning formula has not yet been invented.

Smart money management helps winning While smart money management is of great help in a game like poker, it simply does not work when it comes to roulette. The house's advantage is guaranteed and, no matter how a player manages his money, he can never strip the house of this advantage or reduce it in any way. This means that no money management systems can ever prove to be useful.

Biased wheels do exist Although mentioned last on this list of popular roulette myths, this myth is the most common one. Some roulette lovers never rest on their search for what is called a 'biased wheel,' which is a wheel with some mechanical defect. This flaw is believed to give players an edge because the ball is expected to fall into a certain sector, whether red or black, more frequently than it should randomly.

These myths make quite a lot of sense when trying to figure out why people create them in the first place. Since there is no way to influence the game, roulette enthusiasts are desperate to invent something that could provide them with at least some control over the game. This is, unfortunately, impossible.

Roulette wheels

by normal13is @ 2007-09-18 - 01:31:50

Roulette wheels are like big round bowl things and the wheel spins inside it, they are made from really high quality mahoginy woods. Roulette wheels are made in two different standards, American and European. The european roulette wheel consists of 38 numbered slots: numbers 1 to 36, a zero, and a double zero while the American one has two zeros. Read more about the roulette wheel.

The roulette ball is set of spinning in the opposite direction to the rotation of the wheel. The ball then eventually falls on to the wheel and into one of the colored and numbered pockets on the wheel.

Roulette betting systems

by normal13is @ 2007-07-08 - 03:26:21

Ever since the people started playing roulette math geniuses have been trying to figure out a reliable system for roulette unfortunately you cant escape the fact Liveroulette is a game of chance and no one can see into the future. Many players choose to use their age and some people utilize one of the French bets choosing more than just one slot at a bet. I read somewhere people pick a colour after it hasn’t rolled in for some time. Remember there is no certainties because roulette will allways be a game of of chance. Good luck.
